Curtis
Pond Swimming Pool
Open Memorial Day,
May 24, 2003
Close Labor Day
September 1, 2003
Please read carefully as there are some changes for the 2003 season.
RESIDENT ID CARDS:
·
An identification card
policy, requiring all residents over the age of three to have a Curtis Pond Picture
ID made and then shown to the lifeguard upon visits to the pool, was
implemented for the 2002 season. The
policy was successful overall and will continue to be implemented for the 2003
season.
·
The initial cost to
residents for a Picture ID card is $5.00 per person. Once a resident has purchased an ID card, yearly stickers will be
mailed to those households after receipt of the homeowner’s dues.
·
Homeowners are
notified, (by way of monthly newsletter) of an ID making schedule which includes
varying dates and times at our Clubhouse to accommodate the majority of
residents.
·
There will be a
charge of $10.00 for replacement ID cards.
·
Residents who have
not paid homeowners dues are not eligible to use Curtis Pond facilities and
therefore will not receive ID cards or stickers until all dues are paid in
full.
·
Homeowners
are required to
show their ID card to the lifeguard and sign in when entering the pool area. A reminder sign is posted at the gate to
help homeowners remember to SHOW the lifeguard their photo ID card.
GUEST POLICY:
There is a $2.00 fee per guest, (3
years old and older), per visit. Guest
passes are available in the form of a $10.00 punch card, which equates to five uses. Each family will be provided with one punch
pass and 2 laminated guest cards.
Homeowners may purchase additional punch passes from Herman Management
Company or a Pool Committee member. All residents must sign in their guest(s)
and have guest pass(es) punched by the lifeguard when entering the pool area. The
lifeguard may reserve the right to limit guests if overcrowding occurs.
HEALTH, SAFETY, GENERAL:
The primary concern of the Curtis Pond Homeowners Association in regard
to use of the pools is the health, safety and enjoyment of the facility by its
members. A lifeguard will be on duty
and in charge of the pool area when it is open. Lifeguards have the right to refuse use of pool facility to
anyone not abiding by rules. Please cooperate
with the lifeguards so that all can safely enjoy the pool. The lifeguard whistle means: Stop and Listen.
·
An adult must
accompany children under 12 years of age, and the adult must remain with the
children during the entire time they are in the pool area.
·
Fecal Protection
Policy - In case of an accident that would cause feces to enter the pool water,
that respective pool, (wading pool and main pool have separate filter and
drainage systems), will be chlorine shocked and shut down for overnight shock. This is the recommended procedure provided
by The U.S. Center for Disease Control.
·
Restroom/changing
facilities are for our health and convenience; please USE them for changing
your baby’s diapers and DO NOT USE the outdoor furniture in lieu of changing
tables. Please help keep facilities
clean.
